You can't win if you don't play! I say they have no idea in Washington just how disgusted we Buckeyes are with the scandal ridden GOP here and in D.C. Don't underestimate how badly "Coingate" has damaged the Republicans. See my analysis below. Scroll down a few posts or Click Here. |
| Sean Morris September 19, 2006 06:19 PM PDT Wow! I thought I was the only person who thought the 4th was winnable. I agree with you completely! I am actually working on the campaign of Rick Siferd who is running in the district. We are very hopeful but the party has all but abandoned us. We recieved no support from the party but we still feel we can win. Jim Jordan (the opponent) is more radical than Hitler! If we can't win the seat this year we should just disband the party. This guy is seriously nuts! The sad part is that he beat out 4 other republicans for the nomination. What's sadder is that he would have run unopposed if it wasn't for Rick! Unfortunately, the odds are against us bigtime. With no funding from the party, we are hoping to go into the election with a meager $25,000. Jim Jordan will be at nearly $3,000,000 by election time. That is why the dems don't perform in the district! No funding = no support. Almost any republican can win with those odds. The key misinterpreatation by the party is the thought that the area is all red. This is untrue. In fact the figures go somewhat like this: Registered voters 1. Independent 35% 2. Republicans 34% 3. Democrats 31% I'd say that's winnable given some funding especially after all the scandals by the republicans. Apparently the "50 state strategy" is just a joke. Screw 50 states if we can't even win open seats in a battleground state. The party says it will try to win everything, PROVE IT! | ||
