They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

One of WingNuttytans most intolerant and
increasingly incoherent hypocrites is disturbed by Kerry's behavior
in smacking
Bush on Iraq, calling a stooge
a stooge,
and choosing (as he has since the '70's) to try and spare the lives
of our troops at the possible risk of injuring their supposedly
delicate feelings.
If Dean Esmay is disturbed by whatever Kerry is doing, it must be
effective. Bill Saletan (Yes I can call him "Bill" because the
chances of him actually reading my blog are remote at best.) thinks Kerry
is doing great and only offers some gentle advice and fine tuning
suggestions. I hope the chances that Kerry reads Bill are greater
than Bill reading me.
David
A. has a direct yet polite rebuke to Dean's wish that we just go
along with the charade manufactured by the man behind the curtain --
for the sake of the children (who by the way are grown men and women
trained in the fine art of killing.) And just what is Dean afraid
of by not coming out and saying he thinks Kerry is a traitor?
That is what he's just dying to say.
It's called tough love. You use it on any addictive personality,
and
Bush is addicted to his manifestly failed and doomed course. But
of
course untreated former alcoholics like Dean and Bush refuse to
acknowledge tried and true methods of dealing with delusions.
Step One
of Twelve: Admit there is a problem.
Cheeze Wiz, What kind of pansies do the Bush Apologists
think our troops are? David A. evidently hasn't felt the full
wrath of Dean's arbirary and capricious behavior yet. (hint: he doesn't
publish it and removes any traces from his blog, denies any untoward
behavior, remains sanctimoneous, and neither explains nor
apologizes. You won't find Utopia at Dean's World, only neo-contopians.
And as for questioning Kerry's honest evaluations in a diplomatic
setting, just remember the war of words Bush started by calling Kim
Jong Il a "little tyrant?" Sure the toad was accurately
described, but he is the leader of an undisputably sovereign nation
(which DOES have WMD's). One with whom we are attempting to
engage in fruitful negotiations.
Allawi is Bush's appointed caretaker reciting GOP talking points, not
the representative of any kind of democracy or even a truly sovereign nation. There has yet to
even be an attempt at FloriDUH
style balloting there. Calling the stooge on his delusions is
not nearly as bad as calling him names. Let's not even discuss
the "Old Europe" crack that alienated half of Western Europe.
I can't for the life of me understand why it is perfectly excusable to
treat France, our first great ally and a pillar of western democracy,
like they are a nation that harbors terrorists, and yet suck up to
Saudi Arabia, where the terrorists actually came from. Tell me
again how this whole thing isn't about oil, I forget sometimes.
